Actually the more significant kind of production that distinguishes Idral Spa concerns the self-closing time taps, the foot and lever operated taps, the pre-dishwashing units for application in the professional kitchens, the electronic taps, the "old time" series for external places and the minimalistic siphon traps which complete the similar tap ware produced by other companies with whom Idral collaborates. Also are to be considered several articles studied and realized exclusively for OEM customers.

The commercial organisation works in Italy - which is still the most important market - with a close network of agents made of at least one agent for each region. The export is constantly increasing, especially for the Western and Eastern European Countries: in this case the contact is directly with the importer or through agents working on place. To this aim, it is very important the participation at the most important Fairs in Italy and abroad.

Idral Spa started production in 1970 in the tap ware sector, positioning themselves between the traditional chrome plated products, for bathroom and the "yellow" brass items, i.e. the products for industrial-installing use (ball valves, etc.). Since the beginning the aim was produce innovative products with a large added value, to be manufactured dedicated batches, as they require adequate sophisticated and flexible mechanical equipment. Several of the original products have been patented.

The certification of quality management system (regulated by the Standard ISO 9000 series) assures the capability of an organization (goods manufacturer or services provider) to structure itself and to manage its own resources and production processes in order to determine and satisfy customer needs. An organization should also establish and apply a process of continual improvement to its quality management system (especially if carried out with reference to the new Standard ISO 9001:2000).

In May 2005 the implemented quality system of IDRAL S.p.A. has been verified by KIWA to be according to UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 for the sector "project planning, production and commercialisation of taps for private and industrial use".

Quality means also low noise generation. To ensure that no annoying water noise is created in buildings, we have the noise level of our products tested and certified on a regular basis.

Since years the aim in the tap ware sector is to create not just nice looking but today also healthy products. The future trend of standards for the certification of products in contact with potable water tends towards a harmonization especially in Europe.

This will not be achieved before some years when a unification of a test procedure comes to an end. IDRAL tries to fulfil already today all the necessary conditions in order to pass the future test procedure successfully. All drilled components are made by rods composed of brass alloys that correspond to the European standards EN 12164 and EN 12168:98. Articles made by impact extrusion correspond in quality the European standard EN 12165 while casted components comply with EN 1982:2001.
